Bevel Gear System: The Driving Mechanism

Bevel Gears are a gear system where the axes of two shafts intersect at an angle concerning each other (mostly at a right corner). The faces of the gears with teeth of the gears are conically shaped. Such a gear system is used for 90-degree intersection of axes but can be designed for other angles as well and thus fit the definition. There is various bevel gears manufacturer available.

These can be of different types; these are as follows:
    Straight bevel gears
    Spiral bevel gears
    Zerol bevel gears
    Hypoid bevel gears
Applications
    Bevel gears find their application in differential drives, which transfers power to two axles that are running at different speeds.
    Bevel gears are also a part of the main working mechanism of a conventional hand drill.
    Spiral bevel gears fin their application as a critical component in rotorcraft drive systems.
Choosing the right bevel gear manufacturer helps in getting quality gears.
